Management
Alex Duncan, CEO
In his leadership role as Head of Messaging in LogicaCMG Alex delivered and supported 2G and 3G messaging
(SMS & MMS) infrastructure products for telecom operators worldwide. Holds a B.Sc. (Eng) from Trinity
College Dublin and is currently a member of the Business School in Trinity College where he is completing
a Masters in International Business.
Brian Kelly, CTO
Previously at LogicaCMG Brian was responsible for increasing the performance of the original Telepath SMSC
architecture by two orders of magnitude and for designing and implementing their next generation messaging
architecture for both SMS and MMS (Picasso). Brian is a serving member of the GSMA Advisory Board.
Billy Shekleton, CFO
Billy has the overall responsibility for the accounting, risk management, reporting, and financial control
activities of the company. Previously, Billy spent 20 years in finance with a number of high profile
companies within the telecom and computer industry. Billy is a member of the Chartered Institute of
Management Accountants.
Michael O’Brien, VP Marketing
Michael serves as Vice President of Marketing with responsibility for strategic and tactical marketing. Michael comes
to Openmind Networks from Lionbridge Technologies where he held the position of European Marketing Director. Michael
is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
Cathal Fitzpatrick, VP Product Management
Joined from CAPE Technologies where he was responsible for the product management of their successful revenue assurance
and roaming management products. Previously held product management roles at O2 Germany and Lucent Technologies. Cathal
holds an honours degree in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University, graduating in 1989.
Robbie Byrne, VP Global Sales
Over 18 year’s sales experience in the telecoms sector in both Voice and Messaging services. Previously Logica Telecoms
EMEA Sales Director, where he oversaw significant growth in Messaging and Prepaid business and expansion of the company's
presence throughout the region. Robbie is a Graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland.
Pat Flynn, VP Business Development
Patrick has held roles such as Design Engineer, Team Leader and Test Manager for a number of leading telecom
and software companies in the USA, Japan and Europe before returning to Ireland where he worked with LogicaCMG
before leaving to co-found Openmind Networks.
Stephen Drumm, VP Engineering
Stephen has worked in software development for employers such as ICL/Fujitsu, Misys Kindle, and Logica in application areas
spanning manufacturing, automation, back-office retail banking and mobile messaging. Stephen graduated from Dublin City
University in 1984 with a degree in Computer Applications.
